I do what I do to inspire and motivate people to be the best they can be. It’s not just about health and fitness for me, it’s about life as a whole. I like to think of myself as more of a coach and not a trainer. A coach is in tune 24/7, not just in the training session alone. I love to guide people through their health & fitness journey as I believe it is a major driving force in people’s lives.

Over the last 15 years of my fitness journey, I’ve dealt with lower back issues, tight hips, neck pain, etc. I’ve recovered from most of these, but I seem to aggravate these areas on occasion. Not being active is irritating!
This is when I decided to connect with Omari at STRIVE 2B ATHLETICS again. (A few years back Omari got me cardio ready for my Triathlon).
The focus this time was to strengthen areas around my ongoing issues and to workout safely. Omari needed to refine my approach to my workouts. With tight hips, abductors and a herniated disc in my lower back, he had his work cut out for him. Omari’s program enabled me to first loosen my hips and abductors, then strengthen my lower back, core and lower body. This now enables me to squat and deadlift correctly, and most importantly, pain free.
As a trainer/Coach Omari uses the right combination of push and encouragement to help one achieve their goals. His programs are easily adaptable to the space or equipment available. I’ve worked with him at my home, at the gym, outside, and even in a small 6’x10’ space at the gym due to Covid.”
“I have never really considered myself an athlete, nor can I compare myself to the ranks of many of the outstanding athletes Omari is training right now, however, I sure feel amazing after each training session! I’m a middle-aged teacher, Mom and very casual long distance runner (half-marathons & one full marathon), but mostly I run 7-10 km a couple times per week to stay in shape. I’ve also always thought of fitness/exercise as primarily cardio-based. Now I’m learning more about the importance of strength training and compound exercises through Omari’s awesome sessions. I’m seeing growth in upper body strength, but more importantly, I’m learning better body position/good technique which Omari emphasizes to ensure avoiding injuries. And I have to say, lifting some barbells sure makes a girl feel confident and strong.
